Energizer Recharge Smart Charger

Well, you may have seen these around on some other blogs– Energizer has come out with an amazing little product call the Energizer Recharge Smart Charger. I don’t know about you, but at our house it seems like everything takes batteries – flashlights, digital cameras, the XBOX controller (please!), wireless mouse… the list could go on and on.

Enter in the Energizer Recharge Smart Charger. Okay, you say, but what’s so great about this particular battery charger? Well, the chargers we have at home are pretty basic. Stick the batteries in and hope they charge, right? Well, this nifty little device has a few features that I think would be pretty awesome:

1. A countdown timer shows how long until batteries are charged.
2. Battery fuel gauge shows the charge status
3. It has a bad battery alert that detects alerts and shuts off charging when a non-NiMH or old NiMH battery is inserted
4. Charges batteries at a safe, steady rate which improves the long-term health of the NiMH battery

5. Large visual display can be viewed from across the room

No more wondering how much longer I have to wait until I can go snap some pictures or wondering how much longer I have to listen to the Big Guy complain about how long it's taking to charge his batteries for the video controller! Thanks Energizer for making a household product more user-friendly!
